Working Principle of Pressure Screen Basket
During the rotation of the pressure screen rotor, the blades on the rotor, also known as the rotor, move along the surface of the screen basket (with adjustable clearance from the screen basket), generating pressure on the pulp, increasing the pressure difference inside and outside the pressure screen basket, and allowing the pulp to pass through the screen basket; As the gap between the tail of the rotor and the screen basket gradually increases, the pressure of the rotor on the pulp decreases, and local negative pressure appears in this area. When the negative pressure continues to increase, the moisture and some of the pulp in the good pulp outside the screen basket return through the drum, playing a role in backwashing the long fiber impurities, ensuring the continuous and normal operation of the pressure screen.
Instruction of Operating Pressure Screen Basket
- Safety guidelines during operation: Before each start-up and the first operation, it is necessary to ensure that the motor voltage of the equipment is consistent with the supply voltage. The following steps must be checked regularly according to routine procedures: the connection at the pipeline interface, the flange links and nuts on the cover and outer frame, and special attention should be paid to the surface of the outer frame and interface of the pressure screen, as these areas can sometimes become very hot. Whether the pressure screen for belt transmission and the transmission belt are tightened; Whether the pulley is tightened or not must be treated as an independent mechanism and checked regularly to prevent the pulley from slipping and falling off.
- Before starting, check the following: the direction of rotation of the rotor should be consistent with the direction of rotation indicated by the arrow, and the direction of rotation can be observed, such as from the rotation of the pulley. When checking the direction of rotation, the sealing water must be open. The rotor clearance must also be checked for correctness. When testing the direction of rotation, it is necessary to check that the rotor rotates freely and smoothly. The sieve cover must be tightened with the fastening screws at various locations as usual. The tightness of the flange connection should also be checked. Whether the tightness of the pulley is correct and whether the safety cover is placed in the appropriate position.
- Special attention: Be sure to start the pressure screen first, and then start the pulp pump. Reasonably adjust the approach flow concentration in production, not exceeding 1%. Reasonably control the pressure difference.
Common Problems and Solutions Related to Pressure Screen Basket
| Pressure screen blockage, tripping, belt burning, etc. | A. The concentration is too high. B. The opening of the good pulp valve is too large. C. The tail pulp slag discharge is not smooth. D. Tail pulp blockage. E. Excessive impurities in the medium. Mechanical malfunction. F. The sieve plate or re crusher is damaged, and the fixing screws are broken. G. Loose belt, leaking seal, belt splashing and slipping. H. Mechanical malfunction. |
A. Stop the feeding pump, rinse with water, and in severe cases, remove the cover for treatment. B. Reduce concentration. C. Check the valve opening. D. Properly increase the amount of slag discharge. E. Sampling inspection, analysis and confirmation. F. Clear the pipeline. G. Adjust the raw materials. H. Find equipment personnel to repair the equipment and eliminate faults. |
| Poor quality, pressure difference, and decreased capacity of the pulp produced by pressure screen | A. The pulp concentration is too low. B. The screen basket is damaged. C. The bottom seal is not good. D. The screen basket is severely worn. E. The gap between the rotor and the screen basket is large and the wear is severe. |
A. Increase the pulp concentration. B. Check and replace the damaged screen basket. C. Adjust the gap and replace the rotor plate. D. Check the sealing ring of the screen basket. |
